1.- Wich one is the most crazy thing that have you ever do it???? ( I mean for example, Jump in parachute, Take a Snake live, Jump in Bungee etc)

I went skydiving every weekend for about 2 years and racked up about 300 jumps. Without a doubt, the most memorable jump was the time I had to cut away my parachute and land on the reserve.

I rappelled out of a Huey helicopter when I was in the Army and that was a close second.

2.- Do you have indor plants at home?

No. I tried growing cat grass for a while, but it worked out badly. If I put it in a small pot, they turned it over and got dirt all over the floors. If I used a large pot, they slept in it.
I finally just gave up.

3.- If you can travel in time and to meet to some historycal person WHO would be and Tell us why?...

I'd like to go back to about 1923-4 and do research under Edwin Hubble while he was discovering that there were galaxies beyond our own. That discovery increased the size of the known universe by a factor of ~ 1000. I can't imagine being a part of something so huge.

4.- If you have the money power to move to some part of the world ( of course with your kittys) wich place would be and why.....

Hmm, tough choice. Maybe Geneva. Beautiful city and I could try to get a job at CERN.

5.- What is the thing that really anoy you on the persons.......( for example: the hypocresy, the envy etc)

People that take themselves too seriously, i.e., mall cop syndrome.

6.- Are you Religious?

No

7.- Favourite Salad?

Iceberg lettuce with cherry tomatoes, cheese, bacon bits, olives, and buttermilk ranch dressing.

8.- favourite pop soda?

Coca-Cola

9.- Choose one would you prefer to watch Sunrise
or Sunset and tell us why......

Sunrise. In the metaphor of life and death, it represents birth. At sunrise, every day is filled with possibilities. At sunset, those possibilities are set in stone.

10.- Do you have a car? wich type is it?....

Nissan Sentra

Have a nice afternoon my friend!....

When I came on with my current group as a grad student and they started showing me around, they talked about all this treaty verification work they had done with the Russians, so I decided I would teach myself. I used to listen to the Pimsleur CD's in the car and I would transcribe them to help learn to type Russian as well as speak it. Unfortunately, the work with the Russians started winding down shortly after I got there, so I never had much of a chance to use it or go to Russia.

I've spoken with some Russians at conferences, but I've never actually been. The closest I've come was my trip to Lithuania for a conference back in May. The official language was Lithuanian, but most of the older people spoke Russian, so I was able to use it a few times when dealing with a person who spoke no English at all. They're not exactly fond of the Russians there though (one of the places I visited was the old KGB prison where they used to torture freedom-fighters) so I didn't use it a whole lot.

That's why I figure War and Peace in Russian would keep me busy for quite a long time. I have one book of Russian short stories that has the Russian on the left page and the English translation on the next and I read quite a bit of that. I tried reading Nabokov's translation of Alice in Wonderland and I probably had to look up 100 words in the first 5 pages
so I'm pretty sure reading War and Peace in Russian would keep me busy for a long, long time.
wow, you taught yourself, that has to be hard to do...It's always so cool to speak other languages, especially unfamiliar and different ones such as Russian. Learning a lot of words can be a pain in the butt when you don't use the language on an every day basis, even if you take the time to study them they won't stick long in your memory unless you use them in my experience.
That's pretty cool that you visited Lithuania. Have you ever been to Bulgaria? I have many friends who have been to Russia, and some of my family in law is Russian and they all say it's not a very fun place to be, like it is still very poor, sad and people just have that look of having been through a lot of hell
..Bulgaria is different though, it has never really suffered that much even during the worst of communism, which is a good thing but it was mostly just lucky... And there are really good beach resorts, such as Sunny Beach and Varna.

No

I fractured my cheek bone ice skating. It didn't seem bad at the time, but when I blew my nose, air escaped and swelled up the left side of my face to the point I could hardly see.

3. Do you love where you live?...

Rather general question... If you're referring to my apartment then the answer is I like a lot of things about it, but I can do better. As for the city I live in, I think it's pretty great.

4. How many TVs do you have in your house?....

Just the one and it doesn't get much use.

5. Who is your loudest friend?...

One of the guys I work with. He can be pretty load at times.

6. Do you have any pets?(apart of your kitts of course
)…....

There always seem to be a few crickets in my apartment, but I don't really consider them pets.

7. Does someone have a crush on you?...

I think one of the guys at the grocery store has a crush on me.
I can never quite figure out how to handle that, so I just wave and say hi.

8. Your favorite book(s)?

"Armor" by John Steakley. I'm not really sure why, but I've read it about 5 times. Every 3 or 4 years I'll get the urge to read it again.

9. Do you collect anything?...

Dust on the furniture.

10. What song do you want played at your funeral?

Something upbeat. Funerals are for the living and I want them to have a good time, not cry over me.

I've never been to Bulgaria. The closest I ever came was Bosnia and that wasn't under the most pleasant set of circumstances.
As for Russian, it was my hobby for a while. There are lots of resources out there now that make it easier. Videos with subtitles, newscasts with transcriptions and translations, etc. I never got very good. I think I could speak it and generally get my point across, but when someone answered I didn't have the vocabulary to understand them most of the time.

Unfortunately, I've gotten too busy finishing up with school to do any more work on Russian, so everything I learned is beginning to fade. It doesn't help that the CD player in my car broke.
I used to listen to some Russian CD's in the car to make some productive use of that time, but now I'm stuck listening to the radio until I can replace the CD player.

1.- How many cats have you ever had in your enterely life?

I'm not sure exactly. At least 8 counting the ones we had when I was a kid.

2.- could you tell us the name of the list above?

From when I was a kid, there was:
  • Callie, the Saimese
  • Pumpkin, the orange tabby
  • Kitty Pop-pom whisker Doughnut Rudolph Snowcat Grogan (I kid you not)
As an adult, an ex-girlfriend and I adopted a calico named Baby which she took when we split up.

It took Tiny, and since I have added Thufir, Tre, and Promise

3.- Do you have any preference about of Breeds of cats?

I like Siamese and Ragdolls, but really moggies are just fine.

4.- Do you dream with cats when you sleeps?

I've had a couple of dreams with my cats in them. Usually strange.

5.- Have you ever to give catnip at your kittys to play?

Yes. Tre, Thufir, and Tiny respond well to it. Promise lacks the gene and can't figure out why everyone else is acting so weird.

6.- Wich brand do you prefer to give at your kitty in Wet and Dry food to eat?

Dry is a lot more convenient, but I'm feeding 100% wet for their weight and health right now.

7.- Would you like to work like a volunteer on a Cat shelter?

another stuffs...

I've thought about it several times, but I'm not sure I could handle the negative aspects (e.g., seeing adoptable animals put down). Right now I'm too busy, but maybe I'll at least try after I graduate.

8.- Wich one is your favourite colour to wear?

I probably wear more blue than anything.

9.- Do you have some earrings with shape of cat?

No, I'm secure in my masculinity, but that would be a bit overboard. My ears are unpierced, too.

10.- do you have some blouse with stamps of cats?

No.

11.- do you collect or you have handcraft of kittys?

I have some plastic kitties I carry with me when I go on trips. I posted a thread about it once here:

http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=198065

12.- how many purses do you have?

None.

.....I hope not boring you with my questions my friend...
..Cheers chick!...
