Never a camera handy when you need one

Swanie loves to sit on my lap. I will sit down, put my feet up, and drape a flannel shirt over my legs. Immediately after I do that, I will have a 17 pound cat on my lap. He takes up a LOT of lap.

Anyway, we were sitting there last evening, with Swanie stretched out pretty much from my chest to my knees. Cindy (who never gets on my lap) got up from where she was sleeping, stretched, came over and slowly climbed on my lap to solicit a head licking from Swanie. For about 5 minutes they were both stretched out next to each other, Swanie had his front leg over her giving her a nice head bath.

I tried to send thought waves to DH to come downstairs, but he wasn't getting it. I knew if I yelled for him, both cats would have jumped off.

It was just so darn cute though, I wish I had been able to get a picture. It may never happen again.

That sounds like an absolutely adorable moment. I wish my cats just liked each other,lol

Aww, that's really sweet! A similar thing happend to us about a week ago. BF and I were on the sofa with a blanket on, and Genever, who hasn't snuggled between us since we first got her, jumped up and made a little nest in the blanket between us and was so happy and content. I said I wished someone else was here to take a family picture!

I know what you mean though... Tiger sleeps in the cutest positions. Every darn time I slowly get up and get my camera...turn it on... creep close enough to take the picture... he pops one eye open and it seems like he says, "Oh no you don't!" Then he changes positions! Grr.. He doesn't like for me to take his picture!

I think that happens with everything. How cute the kids and pets are being is in direct relation to how far I am from the camera.
