I've been reading post about lumps in kittens necks.. I fostered kittens last month for my son until they were old enough to put up for adoption. They were all under a pound. Two of them had what looked like bite marks on there necks..we assumed it was from the mom carrying them around. as the days went on these marks got bigger, so I began to clean them and put ointment on them...thy got even bigger. I took them to my vet and i could not beleive my eyes!! The vet said the word maggot and i went nuts. A maggot in the kittens necks..omg...i was horrified. Well they are called warbles and let me tell you it is the most disgusting thing i have ever seen. He took them out and it healed. The kittens are in new homes, but I wanted to share this tale.

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

I have had experience with these creepy things It happens to barn cats quite a bit seeing there are a lot of flies. The fly lays the egg under the skin and it grows there. Luckily, they seem to be able to recover from this nasty ordeal pretty quick. But yea, seen it quite often around barns. Glad your guys are in good homes. Good for you!
