Ophelia Rose is a complicated kitty - her other cat skills are severely lacking.

She & Dory have been "playing" for several hours tonight - note all the stuff on the floor? That was on a table before they took off.

This is how she relates to another cat - this is her instigating "play". Note the noises she's making. Oh, that is the "nice" sound that she makes - if only I could really catch her crowing away!

I realize for most people this would be a true "cat fight". This is simply how some cats relate to others - and one the major reasons we see deaf cats surrendered (lack of social skills/inability to communicate properly) at the shelter here.

Now do we see why most other cats cannot handle her, nor she them?
I love her anyways - she's my Spook of the Basement.

I want to see it, too, but I am very afraid with 5 cats laying right beside me now of what their response might be

Muddy is sitting in my lap and he ignored the meowling - you won't set them off if the volume is low enough!

You are right Nat. My dear friend has a deaf cat that has 1 vocal sound - growling, and it's extremely loud. She has 4 males and while 2 of them ignore Mojo, the other one has a lot of problems with him when he "talks". She's always having to restore the peace in her house.

Good video!

tee hee hee. That sounds like Kiwi when someone tries to go near him and he's eating raw. LOL.

That video brought all 3 of mine running to see what was going on

She's a beautiful basement spook.

Slowest cat fight ever! I do love watching how different cats play and what they consider fun

They just dance in circles for 20 minutes, then they wrestle for a minute. And that's how we "play".

When she's mad - you really know it. I've never heard a cat scream like her - not even tom cats when fighting.

Besides - that's her happy face!
I am *so* happy Dory is here - for her. She'd be so lost without him.

I was getting ready for the "fight" LOL I could tell they weren't mad though by watching the ears. They were not laid back at all. But that was cute!

I was expecting a big fight, too! That was very cute except my Shadow hopped off my legs and fled the room at the sound of Ophelia's growl--and I had it on low.

I loved how very slow they were moving, and I'm glad they didn't actually start tangling. *whew!*

There's something about the sound of cats fighting that upsets me terribly. I can be deep into REM sleep at 2 in the morning, but if Allen goes after Meghan and snarling and screaming ensues, I am out of the bed and into the next room faster than "the red-blue blurr". It's like an electrical prod. (Hmm, maybe I should say, it's like how I "think" an electrical prod would be like, never having actually been electrically prodded.
)

P.S. Edited to add: I'm now following your album. :-)
