I think it was Bambi when I was 4. I guess it was rereleased. I remember the theater had a painting of a stag's head (on black velvet...early 70's art ) in the lobby and for years I thought that was Bambi.

Gosh I can't remember for sure. We used to go to so many movies when we were kids (great way to shut the kids up for a while I guess!). It would most likey be a Disney film like Bambi or Snow White. I remember seeing those in the matinee shows.

I'm pretty sure it was Bambi - on the first release!

I remember Mom and Dad got us a little picture book with 45 records in it that was put out by Disney (merchandising even then!), and it told the whole movie story on the 45 records and you could follow along with the pictures. I was obsessed with it. I think I've been obsessive all my life!

Hmmmm.....I wonder what ever happened to that book and those 45's.

The first one I can remember is The Jungle Book. We used to go to the movies all the time because it was affordable. I guess those days are over, huh?

The first one I can remember is Jurassic Park, but I was like 12 so I must have gone before than

I am pretty sure it was Disney's "The Shaggy Dog" the original from back in the stone age. (Just looked it up and it was released in 1959)

I know that we went to see it but didn't remember what it was about. The only thing I did remember was there was a dog driving a car.

For some reason that scene stuck in my head.

I remember seeing "The Three Lives Of Thomasina" at a drive-in, when I was 5 years old.

I think Cinderella - at a re-release.

Are those the ones that had "ding....turn the page"??? OMG, if so I had them too! The one I listened too all the time was Snow White. I just learned I can STILL quote part of it....LMAO.

I think Jaws was my first one too. I can remember going to Jaws, Star Wars, Saturday Night Fever, and a couple of Disney movies (Escape from Witch Mountain) in the 70's, but I'm pretty sure Jaws came out first. I couldn't have been more than 3 or 4, so I don't think I was old enough to be really scared by it.

I've been trying to figure this out all day. I'm thinking it was probably Aliens, though I remember seeing The Fly around that time, too. Either my parents were crazy or realized the obvious - that I could handle it.
What shocks me is that while working at a movie rental store, with people who claimed to have watched a lot of movies and were around the same age as myself, that most of them had never seen these two movies.

I think it was Bambi or Return to Oz which frightened me to death!!

Jungle Book, when I was 4, at the famous High Street Theatre, in West Chester, Pa. It's famous due to its cool Art Deco 1920's architecture. (I'd like to add that it was already ancient when I was there! )

I'm pretty sure mine was ET

It was either Clue or Flight of the Navigator.
