Morning All!!

Today's question is about movie's:

Can you remember the first movie you ever saw in a theater?

I am pretty sure mine was Jaws...

I think it was Bambi when I was 4. I guess it was rereleased. I remember the theater had a painting of a stag's head (on black velvet...early 70's art
) in the lobby and for years I thought that was Bambi.

Gosh I can't remember for sure. We used to go to so many movies when we were kids (great way to shut the kids up for a while I guess!). It would most likey be a Disney film like Bambi or Snow White. I remember seeing those in the matinee shows.

I'm pretty sure it was Bambi - on the first release!

I remember Mom and Dad got us a little picture book with 45 records in it that was put out by Disney (merchandising even then!), and it told the whole movie story on the 45 records and you could follow along with the pictures. I was obsessed with it. I think I've been obsessive all my life!

Hmmmm.....I wonder what ever happened to that book and those 45's.

The first one I can remember is The Jungle Book. We used to go to the movies all the time because it was affordable. I guess those days are over, huh?

I am pretty sure it was Disney's "The Shaggy Dog" the original from back in the stone age. (Just looked it up and it was released in 1959)

I know that we went to see it but didn't remember what it was about. The only thing I did remember was there was a dog driving a car.

For some reason that scene stuck in my head.

Are those the ones that had "ding....turn the page"??? OMG, if so I had them too! The one I listened too all the time was Snow White. I just learned I can STILL quote part of it....LMAO.

I think Jaws was my first one too. I can remember going to Jaws, Star Wars, Saturday Night Fever, and a couple of Disney movies (Escape from Witch Mountain) in the 70's, but I'm pretty sure Jaws came out first. I couldn't have been more than 3 or 4, so I don't think I was old enough to be really scared by it.
