I got my stitches out - actually it was just one long piece of suture, not a bunch of little stitches. My heel looks pretty ugly, but the Dr says that it looks good.

It is still very sore!

Owie!!!

I must have missed this, what happened?

It looks like it hurts a lot, is that the bottom of your foot too? So you are walking on it all the time?

That is the back of my heel. For orientation purposes, the fabric in the pic is a sock, not a pantleg.

I had surgery on the 1st of October on my achilles tendon and heelbone. The Dr detached part of the tendon, ground off a bunch of heelbone, screwed a titanium anchor into the heelbone and re-attached the tendon. I will be off work until the end of the year.

I am not allowed to put any weight on my foot so I am using crutches.

-aj- Yes, That is the back of my ankle. Isn't the betadine great? That particular shade of yellowish orange makes the skin look really wonderful

It actually looks pretty good, other than the Betadine - no bad bruising or puffiness. The pain will eventually go away, but if you're on crutches for that long, your leg is going to be weak when you can put weight on the foot again.

More recuperation heading your way!

That's what I was going to say. I think it really looks good!
Your docs did a great job!

Here are some vibes so that the healing process keeps going good!

That really does look good, especially considering the surgery was only a few weeks ago. Plenty of that it continues to heal well!

Very neat WW. It does actually look very good, I'll be surprise if you can see much of the scar after a year or so.

The incision what what, about 2" long it looks?

How are you healing? Are you able to move your foot at all or do you still have to have it immobile?

Lots of healing

I think it looks great for a recent surgery scar! More for healing.
Are you doing physio everyday, or are you not allowed to move it?

I have to stretch my foot from being pointed up towards 90 degrees several times a day. It is pretty painful to stretch so far - I hope it gets easier. I am not allowed to put any weight on that foot so I am getting around on crutches.

Thanks for the vibes everyone
