Most bets are off when it comes to whether Annie will actually follow our house rules to begin with, which are really just to keep off the kitchen counters and the dining room table.

Tonight we were eating dinner and heard a *CRASH* from the kitchen. I counted heads and yelled "Annie! Get off that counter!" Sure enough she saunters out of the kitchen.
Earl goes into the kitchen to see what crashed and says, "Oh no wonder - there's a fly in here!"

We recently got the cats a new Drinkwell fountain, and as Annie was following the fly around, it decided to land on the back part of the fountain - behind the stream of water. Not one to be deterred, Annie just went after the fly...until she realized her head was getting all wet. But then she saw that fly there again...and her head got wet again.
(I was about pealing over in laughter at this point, and wishing that I had a camera anywhere downstairs.) She watched it for a couple minutes and she tried it again, and gosh-darnit her head got all wet again!

FINALLY the fly moved over to the edge of the fountain and she was able to grab it.
That was one difficult fly!

But she proved...all bets are off for people or kitty rules when it comes to a fly!

LOL! Rosalie is the same way. Since they day I brought her home if she see's a fly she HAS to get it and has ran over my face chasing one down! So far she's gotten 3/7 that she's seen, not too bad, lol.
