Apparently the hiding space in the attic was equipped with toys and food. Yeah, nothing suspicious about that.
My father (who lives in Ft. Collins, about 1.5 miles from them) said that he has an acquaintance who lives in the neighborhood who said that they never
discipline the kids - they don't even believe in time outs. Guess all he does is yell, but there's no consequences to it - tell me again why the kid would have hid? Well, I guess we know why now.
It's one thing for adults to try to pull off a scam like this, but to expect 3 kids (the oldest is 10) to keep up the lie and not slip up? Gimme a break!
Sad thing is that in this (again, LOCAL) story the Larimer County Sheriff says that they've probably spent more money dealing with the press since Thursday than they did on the rescue.
Who's going to pay for that?
Honestly, I seriously doubt that he has any TV show offers, or book deals, or any other deals lining up for him. He's played the media for suckers, he's played the whole of the public for suckers. And his "invention" wasn't so incredible that it was what garnered the attention - it was the world caring for the wellbeing of little Falcon. He's a media whore and not much else and the whole world sees him for exactly what he is now. Anyone offering this idiot money is throwing it away.
Oh yes, and he's now hired David Lane as the family's attorney.
Same "lawyer"/media whore who represented Ward Churchill. (He's the Denver/Colorado equivalent of OJ Simpson's "dream team" of scumsucking lawyers, only not nearly as effective.)
