So far out in left field I got lost
I have noticed lately that when the Sammycat lays around snoozing he will leave a urine drip wherever he is at. He is a Manx and his backbone stops about one half to one inch from the end of his body.

The vet told me when he was little that this is the reason he would leave a "bomb" on the floor even after using the litterbox since he didn't have the muscle control that other cats have over their bodily functions and that he would grow out of it as he got older. He has outgrown the landmines

Do you think this is normal for a Manx cat to do that or should I be concerned that it maybe a UTI? I do plan on calling the Vet in the morning but just wanted some input.

I would definatily have him checked out since UTI can be fatal in males if not caught early. Better safe than sorry!!

Heu Helen.

The vet said that he just thinks it is due to his backbone problem. But he is doing some test to rule out UTI or other problems he will call me he said no later than Thursday to let me know the results.

So far The Sammycat is not showing any destress at all. He just kind of dribbles a little bit before he wakes up to run to the litter box.
