I wanted to give you guys an update and again, a thank you for all the good thoughts, vibes, and prayers you guys have given to my sister Linda. Our father died two weeks ago so it's been difficult. We are at the turn of the tide now, with Linda's surgery tomorrow.

Linda is one of those people who makes everything better, if she touches your life she makes you feel happier and lighter. She is kindness, wisdom, and unconditional love. She has always been my Mom, even when she was a child herself, trying to undo the damage being dealt out by our biological mother.
Linda has Acral lentiginous melanoma, stage III. She is having her lymph nodes removed, and part of her foot on Wednesday (October 14). She is under the care of an excellent surgeon, but she is not is the best of health to undergo six hours of surgery. It's scary but we are trying to remain optimistic.
I'm convinced it was the magic of TCS members' prayers and good thoughts made her diagnosis go from stage IV to stage III, and there's a huge difference between the two! It is very possible they could get all the cancer during this surgery.
Please, even if you don't respond to this thread, say a quick prayer for Linda... thank you so much!
p.s. If you notice a dark speck like a mole under a toenail or fingernail, and it doesn't wash off, get it checked right away. Also, any dark spots on the palms of hands or soles of feet where there is no hair, this is a very aggressive cancer. This is what killed Bob Marley (malignant speck under a toenail).
