Purrrr From Wisconsin!!!

Im a new "mommy" as of 5 days ago! I rescued an abandoned kitten who is estimated to be 6wks old (am awaiting more responses on a different thread). His name is Houdini and he is a trickster! I adore him already and am excited to watch him grow! Im so happy I found this site as I have a ton of questions-its been YEARS since Ive owned a cat-I had two growing up untill I was 13 but that was over 10 years ago and Im a bit rusty.

On a cold note-are there any other Wisconsinites out there? Can you believe this snow?????

Welcome! I'm originally from Wisconsin, but currently residing next door. We had snow yesterday Most is gone today, but it is below freezing. Ugh!

Hope you and Houdini enjoy it here!

Haha, Harry Houdini was born in Appleton, I think! I used to live in Appleton for about 5 years. Boy, was it cold there in the winter! And WAY too hot in summer. Other than that perfect. LOL!

Rang- well I checked the weather and it said more snow for Wed-Fri! Too soon too soon! I love a white christmas but a white Halloween?

kluchetta- Really! I didnt know that thanks for the info! Makes his name even more perfect One of the reasons I love Wisconsin so much is the crazy weather. 80 degrees on Monday, Snowing on Tuesday, Flood watches on Wednesday..I love it! But your right- the winters can be a little too cold. Last year our pipes froze at least 3x a month and Ive had the house weatherized! Its just gets frigid. This past summer was cold! We had a hot week or two in August but for the most part it was in the 60's and low low 70's....crazy weather.
