Temporary homes

Anyone have any experience with providing temporary homes/fostering for people in need? I got a call from a lady whose trailer burned down and she needs someplace for her cats to stay while she works through the process of replacing it. I work with a spay/neuter group, so this was new to me.

I've decided to start a campaign to recruit people and I'm looking for ideas. Suggestions?

I think that is a really good idea. In cases of families/women trying to get out of abusive relationships. Temporary fostering of their cats/pets would really help, until they got back on their feet.
