I was going through my closet the other day and there was my wedding dress, still hanging there in the same bag I got it in, over 17 years ago. It's really just taking up space at this point, but I can't part with it.

It made me curious, what have others done with their dresses?

Sold it

Under the premise of selling it, was what allowed me to spend more than we budgetted for it. Thankfully I got half back, but I also was married in the gown that I wanted

Mine was cleaned and presevered and is in a box in the basement, which is a shame. I've seriously considered selling it. I mean, it's not like I'm ever going to wear it again, but I just can't bring myself to do that!

Mine's cleaned and stored in a box in my closet. Maybe one day I'll havea daughter who wants to wear it, but who knows.

Funny how they are fairly hard to part with.

Mine is wadded up, stuffed into a plastic bag, and tossed into a musty old corner of the basement. It sort of echos my feelings on the whole institution of marriage.

And, yes, I'm VERY happily divorced!

I kept it, with the intent of trying it on every year on our anniversary. I never once tried it on again, however, and now it makes me sad. It was a size 3 and had to be taken up to fit. I know I'll never be able to put that dress on again. I'm still keeping it, though, I just can't part with it.

Sis and niece have theirs in storage. Both are handmade. Mom did Sis's (and the 7 bridesmaids) while niece's was a group project by Sis, Mom and me. It has a 25ft train.

Mine is in a garment bag in the closet. I never had it cleaned, lol. My veil is in the same bag. It has been there for 30 years

Mine was cleaned, boxed up and is now sitting in a closet. I can't bear to part with it.
