I'm going to make a homemade mushroom, ham off the bone and colby cheese melt for lunch today.

Tonight is dinner at my Aunty's for pre-Christmas. Since her family will be in New York for Christmas. *sigh*

Beef stew that I made yesterday for tonight. With some cheddar bay biscuits (recipe is a lot like Red Lobster's).

Birthday Dinner at The Red Door. It's all wonderful food, I don't know what all will appear on the table (there will be five of us ordering), but for sure there will be Shaking Beef.

And I'd better think about putting some decent clothes on -- we need to leave soon.

Oh, yuck!! Hope you feel better soon.

I haven't cooked dinner since last Friday. Tonight we return to the baked ham we had then, plus its leftover accompaniments.

Well, that's what I get for trying to make the ground beef stretch one day farther than it should have
Next time I will just throw it out, regardless of waste. Thankfully I didn't eat much of it, since it tasted off even after fully cooked and what I did eat came back up soon after.

Tonight dinner will probably be pepto bismal and ginger ale!

Oooh Fran the Red Door looks good! I think you've posted about them before?

I have not been doing much cooking at all lately. I blame it on DH who had throat surgery last week and thus has not been able to eat much. I find that I just can't be bothered to cook just for one, although I forced myself to make some vegetables last night. Tonight was Indian from a box, and mashed potatoes.

I have. It's one of my very favourite places to eat, and my request for my birthday dinner every year now. Each time we go there, though, I have this little fearful wondering if this is going to be the time my expectations are not met -- but no, it just gets better. We did the Shaking Beef, as predicted -- I adore that stuff. And Pad Thai -- the best I've had anywhere. And the Chili Crusted Squid -- serious yum. And the Thai Jungle Curry -- another serious yum. And the Yang Chow Fried Rice. And decided to hold there and see whether we needed any more main course dishes. Then we decided that deciding on another was impossible, but deciding on dessert was not. Five desserts at the table: 2 Chocolate Orange Torte (I almost got that, and did taste Rob's -- oh yum!) 1 Green Tea Brulee (Jr allowed tastes -- another yum!) and 2 Curry-Butterscotch Pot de Creme (Oh, my! I made the right choice -- to die for!)

We have agreed we are going back in June to celebrate Jr and his SO's birthdays (11 days apart).

Oh, dear, I hope DH is feeling better soon. That has to be pretty uncomfortable.

I think I'm going to make a cheese/potato/veggie soup for tonight. Doubt the kids will like it, but I don't really care, LOL.

Chicken and avacado salad (chicken, diced avacado with some mayo and a bit of ranch dressing) in a wrap with some fresh spinach. Finishing the last bite as I type this. It was yummy!
Its even better with some bacon, but I dont have any!
