Fair food!! Josh and I are about to go to the state fair and I'm sure I will eat massive amounts of greasy, fattening, delicious food,
The "spazz" won. Partly because the schnitzel won. The Boy practically turned inside out at that suggestion. Buttered noodles and garlic carrots. I occasionally do spaetzle with schnitzel, but it's not second nature yet, so I don't do it when the energy level is low -- as was the case tonight.Originally Posted by rapunzel47
Pork for us. I think I have tenderloins in the freezer. I also think I have some schnitzel-able pork. I'll see which The Boy would prefer. What that choice is will determine what happens in the way of veg and starch. Either way, it will be a low fuss meal, since we had a somewhat late night last night, and I'm dragging my butt at this point. I may do a pecan pie for dessert -- or I may not.We can always have Gelato Spazzacamino.
It was ok for a first try, but did come out a bit bland. I think I need to increase the cheese and play around with the spices, etc. Good enough to try again soon thoughOriginally Posted by WellingtonCats
How did the Mac & Cheese turn out?
Dinner for me tonight was homemade lasagne (Kieran's Dad) and a huge helping of salad. Fresh strawberries and french vanilla ice-cream for dessert.
Tip: Lots of cheese, and even if you don't normally like strongly flavoured cheeses, use old cheddar. Also, dry mustard and cayenne will perk up the cheese flavour.Originally Posted by AlleyGirl
