I have no idea what I am having tonight. I have to go to the store right after work. (Lucky for me we live right across the street from a food store) so that will be just what i need on an ugly gross gloomy rainy night...hmmm...Maybe soup for dinner!

That sounds promising!

That pork chop last night submitted willingly to the mallet and produced a gorgeous schnitzel. I almost want to do it all again.

I had been going to do Mac&Cheese tonight, but we were downtown for an event and went for a glass of wine and a nibblie after, and now I think M&C will be too heavy. Tomorrow, maybe.

So, now I'm thinking, probably a Greek Salad and a few garlic prawns.

We didn't end up having pudding last night so will have that tonight. The curry however was fab.

It will be pasta here tonight - penne pasta, with chicken break, mushrooms, bacon and onion in a creamy cheesy sauce. Too bad I seem to have lost use of my taste buds.

Sam, what's up with your tastebuds?!

Tonight we had awesome frozen have-to-eat-that-up stuff and Uncle Ben's 2 minute rice. Hey, it filled us up.

No idea! Josh is working late but I'm really getting hungry.... Not sure if I'll cook something for when he gets home (if that's the case I'm going to do some quick stir fry) or cave into my hunger and pop a pizza in the oven!

I have a couple of leftovers of gravy -- Hunter sauce from the Jaegerschnitzel on Monday, and another bit from last week -- and the end of some beef that was not as tender as I had expected. I think the beef is getting ground, and browned and some seasoning and veg and the gravy added, while some spuds cook and get mashed. Then they'll get thrown together and stuck in the oven, and a short while after that we'll have a couple of individual Shepherd's Pies. There's some lettuce and other salad stuff to go beside.

I wish hubby liked shepherd's pie - I never make it because he doesn't like it. Last night I had nothing out so I quickly thawed a package of raw shrimp, did some chopped onion and garlic in butter and a bit of olive oil, added cajan spices and quickly sauteed the shrimp and removed them from the pan, added a tbsp. of tomato paste (I open a can and wrap individual spoonfulls in saran and freeze so that I have some handy), some leftover rose sauce in the fridge and some fresh pepper. I let it cook down a bit and added more cream. Then I put the shrimp back in and served it over rice. Hubby said it was a keeper and I can make it anytime.

Since we're just getting over 20-some inches of snow, I put Beef Barley soup in the Crock Pot for when I get home!
