The vet says they have a lot of Akbash in the area she was rescued and thinks a lot of the size may be coming from that, but not the colour. She also says they are too big for Shepherds. At 4.5 weeks with the exception of the black one they are all 10lbs+, the black one is about 1lb smaller than the other three despite being the biggest at birth

Oh and they have names now
Tigger

Piglet (and he is a piglet at almost 11lbs)

and Roo

and their first meal of puppy food

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
Id say shepard mix, the black muzzle looks to be mastiff and considering how big the puppies are its not a far fetched thought for the father to have mastiff in him. The mom looks like shepard and corgi. Shes very petite....But those pups def have some large breed in them..I would think it would be safer for the puppies to do like a shepard mastiff mix type deal. Too bad you cant just put Heinz 57..LOL..

But they are soooooooo darn cute!

Wrong colour for Akbash maybe but not Karabash! If there are lots of Anatolians it's very possible there are Karabash as well.

We have rescued quite a few Akbash from the area so not impossible for there to be other Anatolian breeds. We do have Anatolian in the computer so I think I will use that - I want people to be aware of the size these puppies will be before coming in to meet them. Once you see them, you fall in love and it wont matter even if it really isnt 100% suitable. We have had so many people apply for puppies who work 10 hours a day and live in apartments etc so it would be nice to cut down on the denied application time with this group.

This week we had 8 week old Britney Spaniel X and 7 week-old Shepherd X puppies and a 14 week old Pug - you really see how big these puppies are when you have another to compare it to.

Well they are all on hold for people who realise how big they will be. Their weights were up to 14lbs at 6 weeks so it will be interesting to see how big they grow

Hmm...I see lots of different things in each puppy. There's a little bit of lab, perhaps anatolian or akita as well. The third puppy's coloration and build also makes me guess that there may be burmese mountain dog in him?

I honestly don't know...sorry if I was not much help. But they are cuties, and most likely will be large one day. And sweet

They are adorable. And yes they are big adorable, if they were 14 lbs at six weeks I would guess they will be 70-80 lbs full grown.

our vet has them down at up to 110lbs full grown, I wish I could keep Tigger. For someone who isnt a dog person that little guy has stolen my heart.

The people who had him on hold changed their minds so I am showing him to a few people today
