I was wondering is it safe to put vanilla on the tip of a cats tail and on their nose when trying to disguise their sense of smell ? Cause I read that on one of the posts here and was curious about it. Cause I saw that it would help when trying to get cats to like each other.
Thanks
Melanie

It isn't the tip of their tail, but the tip of their tailhead- right where the tail meets the back. That is the customary place that the cats go to when they are greeting each other. Under the chin is because they headbump and rub and this spreads the scent of the vanilla with their signature scent- making them all smell the same. It needs to be done several times a day with pure vanilla, not the imitation type.
