I am humbled and very, very excited to say that the Feline Nutrition Education Society has (after an extensive screening process that I ungracefully sweated out) accepted me as a contributing writer and blogger.

I am working with a wonderful and impressive group of folks, including some very well-known veterinarians and feline nutritionists, all dedicated to the health and well-being of cats. Like Lisa A. Pierson, DVM, owner of Cat Info and world-wide feline nutrition consultant, and Elizabeth M. Hodgkins, DVM, Esq., author of Your Cat: Simple New Secrets to a Longer, Stronger Life, manager of Your Diabetic Cat and once-director of technical affairs at HillsÂ[emoji]174[/emoji] (as in Science Diet, etc.), not to mention the founders of Cat Nutrition, Feline Outreach, and the feline IBD yahoo discussion group. :-)

My first article has already been posted and I am currently working hard on the second.

As wonderful as this is, I've come to the realization that to do it right, I must devote the time I used to spend sharing with all of my friends here at TCS and other forums.

This isn't goodbye, by any means, I'll still pop in every now and again to check my messages and browse through the latest posts. But I wanted to share my news and tell those of you who know me why I'll not be as active in the nutrition and raw-food forums as I have been (or would like to be). As weird as it may seem, it didn't feel right to just fade away without a word. This place has been one of my favorite hangouts for a long time and I will definitely miss being here so often.

Love you guys!

Good luck.

And keep in mind that this is a fantastic on-line source of clients for your blogs!

Thanks, I appreciate the well-wishes!

And I heartily recommend the FNES site. Even a quick glance will show it's chock full of wonderful, pertinent and well-presented information on feline nutrition. A must-read for sure.

*groan*

I take it all back - except the loving you guys part.

I tried. I mean, I REALLY tried. But, as some of you may have noticed, I failed miserably. Guess I'm just addicted to my furry friends.... er, that didn't come out quite right.

Whatever... obviously, y'all are stuck with me. I still haven't finished my current article (although it's very, very close) and I have no doubt I would have turned it in a full week or two ago if I had any real willpower, but there you have it. FNES will just have to share me.

P.S. They're great folks and everyone is a volunteer, so they actually understand completely. It's just me who wants to get things done quicker, and me who had to realize it wasn't going to happen.
