It's on Global, for those Canadians.

It's about all the homeless cats in the Toronto area.

It just started.

Just wanted to let you guys know!

It was GREAT!

Hubby spent the entire program in disbelief, I have to say I didn't know the numbers were so high either
. 4000 cats put down in Toronto every year. Excuse me, I have to go hug my Kitties
.

It made me so sad to think Miss Kitty used to be one of those dumped domestics trying to eek out a living where -30C is warm some winter nights
. I'm so glad she found us.

It was great.

Extremely upsetting in some parts. Half the time I was watching it, I was holding back tears.
One part being the bits about Joyce Smith. I met her a few times.. and looked forward to working with her in the future. I had taken a baby racoon to her Second Chance Sanctuary in 2007. It was I think the following summer or spring when she passed away. It was heartbreaking, losing such a dedicated animal lover and fellow rescuer. Thank god for the people continuing her work.

A few hundred thousand stray and feral cats in the Toronto area. That's quite sad. All because of peoples lack of responsibility.

The part about the animal control that euthanized 60 cats every 3 days really broke my heart. They don't even put them up for adoption. If not claimed in 72 hours, they are euthanized unless a rescue takes them in.
