I wish they would stop selling Bettas everywhere in a cup. This petition was created a long while back. The topic title says it all....

This petition is quite old....thats why it is closed.

Well thank you for looking. This was a petition I signed back in feb 09. I couldn't find anything to tell me if it was still open. It looked open to me .

It never made it.

Why not keep it open?
The fight for the humane treatment of any creature does not end beause a poll has has closed.

On Myspace there is an app called "Causes", something like a group, to stop the cruel treatment of bettas. Cant post the link here, but if you go on Myspace and search under Causes for 'betta" you should be able to find the causes and join it, you can tell your friends too to join. The more people that join, the more awareness of the situation it gets.

Thank you for the info. I will look into that. IMO bettas are one of the worst treated pets.....kept in a 1/2 c of water waiting to be sold. Many die before they are sold.
