Help, my sweet boy is chewing on plastic bags. Is he missing something in his diet? I have two "boys". Bo's brother doesn't have this problem. What can I do?

Spinner-

Please keep the plastic bags out of reach from your cat. Most plastic bag manufacturers use fish oils to process their bags and there lies the attraction. A cat will chew up a plastic bag thinking it is a treat, and then you are faced with a bad situation because the plastic does not easily reabsorb and break down in the cat's stomach. Sometimes it results in blockages, and an expensive surgery. Not worth it. I put all my bags up in a bag caddy, hung so high that even my best leaper can't reach.

I have a cat that loves to chew on plastic bags, so I have to be very careful to make sure that I keep them away from him. I had another cat in the past, that loved plastic too. I don't think it's that unusual.

Hi All. My kitty likes to lick and chew plastic bags too. So I have to be careful to put them in a closed cupboard or drawer. I always wondered what the attraction was. Thanks for letting us know!

I have one cat that likes to lick the shower curtain, he has done it forever and he does it mostly when its dry, so its not for the water.
Maybe its got the fish oil in it too.
