My sweet boy Muddy makes a decision that he wants to be picked up and will stand on his hind legs with his arms stretched out until I pick him up. If I try to walk away, he'll start to throw a temper tantrum by screaming at me and biting my ankles. When I stop, he circles then stands on his legs to be picked up.

He knows that I'll pick him up when I say "pick up?", then gets more and more excited until I do so. Once in my arms, he has to go on my left shoulder, where he bites my hair, ear and nose until I hold him away. He's played this little game with me for hours and we'll have long conversations. He's got an amazing vocal range when he gets going. Who has who trained here?

Yes its grainy - taken from my cell phone.

It was a 27 second video, after which I dropped my phone in my pocket and picked him up. He promptly bit my nose for making him wait so long.

Yes, I'm a sucker for these cats.

Awww, he's so cute... and you meow at him just like I do my kitties.

You can definately see Muddy thinking "pick me up already" LOL.

Doesn't everyone meow back at their kitties? It's part of our conversation.

Aw, that was so cute. Muddy is a big doll baby. Yeah, I was thinking, "Pick him up!", too. My boy, Raven, will mrrrreow at me from the bathroom when I am on the computer. He will do it until I get up and turn the tap on for him. Then, he will either drink from the tap or race into the computer room to take my chair, the little stinker.

P.S. He and I have meowing conversations, too, usually when he is unhappy about something.

You have to remember that Muddy was orphaned at 10 days old and I bottle fed him until he finally was weened at about 9 weeks old (yes, understood early on that I was a sucker). He's not entirely normal, and when he wants something, he will tell you in no uncertain terms what he wants.
