My male mixed breed has had a black colored chin for about the last 2 months or so. I have had him at my vet twice in the same time. He shaved hs chin, and said it was a "skin disorder" and gave him some penicillin to clear it up. It helped some what, but he still has the problem a month later. The vet really don't know what it is I think. I don't think it is an allergy because he eats mostly holistical food. He is 6 years old, and this disorder does not seem to effect him. It kinda comes and goes. Any clue what might be going on with my cat?

you can try washing his food/water bowls before every meal
&
switching to stainless steel bowls

bobbie has a little bit of the black stuff under her chin
we've taken her to the vet
the vet says it isn't feline acne
i can't remember the word he used, it's on the tip of my tongue....

but essentially it's harmless in bobbie's case anyway...
you can try grooming him with a toothbrush...
that gets rid of most of what's on bobbie's chin

but you should just make sure it isn't anything serious with your vet
