If you don't want to be up front then tell the teacher that it is to cold or hot where your sitting and pick a different seat. I would just want to sit in front instead of in back of him so he can't continue to turn around and stare at you.
Do you really think so? Yeah, I will move. I don't mind being in the front and there's this girl in front who has a
major crush
on him right now, so maybe we can switch.

Well there you go! Switch with her and let her have him. Now your doing her a favor and you can stay out of it so maybe there won't be anymore awkwardness (at least for a little while) added to this 'situation'.

Let us know how it goes!

Someone has a crush on this guy?

Oh hun, I remember what it was like to be a Sophomore and I wouldn't go back there in a million years!

If his staring is obvious to the teacher, he is clearly being creepy and probably on purpose because he feels rejected. It's hard in general not to be resentful when someone doesn't reciprocate feelings...in high school it's nearly impossible for most kids. I also understand you not wanting to make a big fuss out of anything...it can be embarrassing to have to take drastic measures. I wanted to hide from the world at that age.

I think everyone has given you some great advice and I hope you do end up moving your seat! I also hope you are in a big enough school that you won't run into him very often.

Thanks guys!
Luckily, the girl who has a crush on the guy agreed to switch seats so we asked the teacher. She said yes, and so we switched.
Him and the girl were talking and giggling a lot back there, so hopefully it'll stay that way! Like I said, this girl has a major crush on him (since 8th grade).

Thank goodness the high school is huge, but sadly, I have him in every class except PE. However, we sit far apart in the other classes.

I hope all goes well from now! It did appear as if he and the girl were flirting.

That is promising! I'm glad it has worked out so far- good thinking with switching seats. Hopefully he'll divert some not-creepy attention towards the girl who likes him!

Perhaps this was his plan all along, make you uncomfortable enough to move and hope you asked your friend to swap.

I am really glad it worked out well for you!

Wow I remember being a sophomore and I can gladly say I'm glad that is over with! I too had a creepy guy who wouldn't leave me alone that was annoying but luckily I have a twin so he helped me out on that front.

Seriously though, I am a high school teacher now and I want you to know that you shouldn't be hesitant to speak to your teachers if something is making you uncomfortable. Don't worry about making a fuss our job is to make sure we provide a safe and comfortable learning environment for our students. No matter how silly the matter if it makes you uncomfortable then it something that your teacher would want to know about.

Plus, on another note, good teachers don't miss anything. I bet your teacher noticed the staring right away.

Oh yes, this year has sucked for me! My mom says I'm supposed to feel confused at this point... I just don't know what i want to do in life or anything! Everything I once thought is now very different...one day I feel like ok, it's all good and solid and then the next day I feel the complete opposite (emotionally) and my mom said it's all just part of being a teen but ugh I hate it! It's so hard to explain
But I wish I'd get some hold on life, you know? I so cannot wait until I'm doing being a teen!

Anyways, thanks vampcow
I'm pretty sure my teacher noticed, she's pretty good at noticing things.

So what do you teach... like, what subject?

What you are going through is totally normal!!! Everyone goes through that stage but don't fret it will be over with before you know it! You don't have to explain we have all been there and done that!

I teach music.
