This little guy was nearly PTS a couple of times at a local animal rescue. One of the ladies I am working with to change policy at that facility went and saved him! He is adorable and needs a really strong, brave, lucky name! He's about 10 weeks old and sweet as pie!
Any suggestions?

If I ever move to an apartment (or a house) where I can get another kitty, I'm hoping to get a fluffy orange male and call him Shams. Shams is arabic for sun and is also the name Rumi's (poet, mystic) teacher. It was one of my name ideas for the Squeakster, but it's definitely more of a male, strong name, then one for a squishy female cat

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
OK... names that mean brave and bold:

Archibald (he could be called Archie - so cute!)
Farley ("Brave man")
Hardy (self explanatory!)
Prewitt (Brave little one)
Maynard (Brave, Hard strength)

Others:

Farrell (Hero, man of courage)
Gabriel (God's able bodied one - hero of God)
Halbert (shining hero)
Rhett - hero of Gone with the wind AND goes with the red...
Ulysses - hero of the Odyssey

Um...

Tom (as in Tom Sawyer - creative, clever, resourceful - a survivor!)

Survivors.... let's see... the only one I come up with is Noah (survived the flood!)

I like that name!

It never ceases to amaze me how places can kill healthy/friendly/kittens. I mean, I know we have euthanized kittens who are sick or very feral, but a kitten like him?!?!
The world is an ugly place......

Thanks for all of your suggestions, guys! The woman who saved him decided to name him Julius. I think that's prpbably as in Orange Julius. Or maybe Julius Caesar.
