For those who read my last thread, my mom did call the doctor on Monday, I have an appointment in November. Things have gotten a bit worse!

*Sometimes I see double vision when I read or concentrate on something
*Headaches (like a hot needle pressing against my skull in various parts of my head)

*Lack of concentration
*Sudden bad grades (I'm usually a straight A student, I now have all Cs and Ds. I'm really mad about that, and I feel that I'm really trying, but IDK if this is related or not)

*Dizzyness (but very mild)
*Lack of balance. Whenever I sit down, right when I stand up I nearly trip over my own feet

*My fingernails are starting to get infected underneath the nail... and they really hurt so that it's hard to hold a pencil at times

I am also constantly tired. And I'm still hearing voices and strange sounds, but not all the time.

I also feel depressed (because of my grades especially! I am very into school and not used to Cs and Ds) and I have been very paranoid. I get the feeling that people can read my mind at times. I'm not trolling either. THis is very serious.

These symptoms are all very mild, though, not extreme. But this has been going on for weeks! My mom is wondering if she should make an appointment sooner, so what do you think? How urgent do you think this is?

I would want the apointment ASAP, I'd have your mom speak to the dr about your symptoms, I have a feeling they will find a way to get you in sooner.

Hope you feel better soon

I don't want to scare you, but some of what you describe is what my sister had with her aneurysm (severe headache and double vision). I would run, not walk, to the nearest emergency room!

I would not call the symptoms you describe "mild". I would definitely push to get an earlier appointment. You don't want to end up in the emergency room with something that could have been fixed if you'd been seen sooner.

I forgot to add a very important symptom that just started happening today in class. While I was sitting, I got a very dull ache in the bone of my upper right arm (I have it as I type) and it alternates. I did some research and all I came up with was arthritis and I'm only 15

I agree; and naturally, you're worried, as anyone would be. November is a long time to wait when you're stressed.

I don't think anyone here is going to try to diagnose you because we're not qualified to do that. Those symptoms don't sound "mild" at all. Maybe one or two at a time could be....but all them them seems like something is definitely going on. It could be something as simple as a thyroid inbalance, or it could be something more serious. I don't want to scare you but you need to see a dr asap!

The ache in your arm may be completely unrelated since everything else seems to be happening in your head (dizzyness, loss of concentration, etc). But mention it to the doctor...in fact, tell the doctor EVERYTHING that is just not right with you.

Arthritis in your teens is not really that uncommon. I started experiencing it in my knees in junior high. It's not necessarily an "older persons" disease. It can affect anyone, just most older people experience it because their joints are worn down. Ask you doctor what he recommends for you, at your age, to help with arthritis.
