Every year my first fires in the woodstove drive me crazy! I should have stacked some wood under the porch before now. We had 4" of rain the other day! It is 61 in my livingroom! It was going well for about 45 minutes and then nothing but smoke. Oh well, in a couple of days it might reach 65 degrees outside. Indian Summer!

Yea Nes, our tarp was destroyed last year. Had it for a long time and it just started to desinigrate. We will be bringing it up on the porch over the weekend. We stack it there and keep replenishing it all winter from the mother pile. We also keep some near the stove and it dries out quickly. Its just that it got cold so quick...caught me sleeping! Of course, DH just got home and got a roaring fire going with little effort. He thinks he is soooooo smart!

I sure hope not inside!
Well, it's up to 71. Boy, does that feel good! Flannel sheets and 3 blankets on the bed tonight. I wish I could go to bed right now!
