Daily Thread: Sun. Sept. 27th

Morning

I really don't like waking when it is dark out

Yet another day that I was up before 6:30....what the heck is up with that?

Cool, cloudy and chance of rain here.

It is snake feeding day, as always, I'm willing to accept volunteers as it is bin and water dish cleaning day too. One of these days, I will learn how to do it seperately instead of squishing it all into one day LOL.

My DD is coming down with a cold

I've been upping the natural vitamins (as in her diet, giving her more liquids to help the congestion, more vit. C, etc) and

its just a normal easy cold. She has a nasty post nasal drip that really makes things worse when she gets a cold.... She'll be up at night coughing, and hacking which eventually leads to vomitting because of it

So hopefully we can keep it to just a minor cold.

My other DD is at a sleep over.... Which means...

I get some alone time this morning

DH had to do some work till 1am, so he prolly won't be up till 9ish. DD was at a sleepover the night before, so she's tired and prolly won't be up till 8:30ish...... Which leaves me.

I like my morning quiet time

Now to get rid of the headache that keeps coming back

my poor other half is feeling a bit poorly today bless him but hes got the F1 on
ive got work this afternoon but its only a few hours so not to bad.

oh well i think ill go and find something to keep me busy haha

It's supposed to be a glorious day here today - sunny and mid 80's. I have a new cat bed to make (check my site later) and then am going out to winterize our yard. Sounds like work but it gives me an excuse to be outside most of the day. We'll be slow cooking ribs on our smoker this afternoon and will serve them with the best corn on the cob in the world: northern Illinois white corn, along with the last of the homegrown tomatoes.

And I slept in until 7:30.

Nothing exciting for today, cut the grass, go to buy some items at the grocery store, watch the Football, and maybe drink a special coffee on afternoon...

Man, need a nap again...

If she is still throwing up, give her chamomile tea. It works wonders. You can put sugar in it and she can even drink it cold if she wants. It was the only thing that stop me from throwing up all night, every 15 mins, and my mom did that for me, because she couldn't stand to hear it any longer. I lost 10 pounds that night because I threw up so often.

I am at work right now, but will be leaving in about half an hour. I will go to a few stores and then head home so I can try to get my car cleaned, run, and finish painting my room.

Good morning,

We have a stunningly beautiful day here. 70 degrees and sunny. We had so much rain here yesterday that I kept expecting to see boats floating past the window, so this is certainly a nice change. Promise was sitting on the window sill when I woke up. She looked very cute in the sunlight streaming through the window.

As for me, I don't have a lot going on. I need to run out to the grocery store at some point today, but that's probably about all that I'll do outside the house. I'm going to be doing some work on the computer and read on my book some.

Dull dreary and pouring rain here this morning and I can say without a doubt it certainly suits my mood.....no happy camper syndrome today..

Still feeling very weak and tired from my trip to the hospital, have a DR. appointment tomorrow which I know means more blood taking which frankly I hate.
The ridiculous part about it is I get cortisone shots in my knees, shoulders, I have even had them in my thumbs before and it doesn't bother me in the least. The thought of having blood taken or an IV inserted scares the bejesus out of me.. Go figure.

The kitties are in full brat mode this morning, tearing around the house at the speed of light. Even Sassy is taking part.

Anyway everyone have a great day and I will quite whining for now

I was full of plans yesterday and this morning. Yesterday I did a lot of housework but I *wanted* to do more today because there might be new foster kittens arriving on tuesday. They are probably going to need a lot of care so better to start out with a really clean house. Might be some kind of hormonal thing too; little baby kittens trigger my mothering instinct and drive me to clean the nest more.
The kitten room is in order already.

But this morning I only baked the cake I promised my darling and after that spent most of the day behind the computer. (it's 16:52 here)
The only thing I really really need to do is clean the fishtank, that only takes 15 minutes or so but it's a chore I hate so I keep procrastinating about it.

I feel sluggish. Bleh.
