I am really excited with the way my SS shopping is wrapping up (no pun intended). I hope so much that he or she is happy with the presents.

I'm almost done my shopping!
Wow has it ever been hard to stay at least within the ballpark of my budget - I keep seeing things I think my santee would like.

Oh and, I'm happy with teasers or one big box, no pressure either way.

It really is! And just when you think you've finished, you see something else and think...hmm, just one more thing would be good.

You'll do fine, Nat. I don't think any one of us has forgotten that it's the thought that counts, not crazy spending. Get bargains. Have fun. And stop before it's a financial burden. Your recipient will love your efforts. I know I would.

What Fran said. You send what you can send.

Start scoping out the bargains. I buy way more than I should, but it looks like a spent a lot more because I bargain shop all year round and tuck things away. No one is going to know you bought something for 75% off.
If it were me, I would be proud of you of you did.
Look at clearance end displays in the stores. Take advantage of some coupons.

My nieces always get a "goody bag" with their regular Christmas gift. They also get one for their birthday along with their regular gift. Goody bags consist of steals and deals on a lot of little things. Pens, notepads, lotions, candles, room diffusers, ornaments, keychains, etc. They love their bags and some years have asked for just big bags.

Others may not agree with me, but personally, I'd rather have a gift that is inexpensive but shows real thought than many gifts that were bought willy-nilly and look more like the leftovers from a shopping spree through the local mall.

My SS last year did a great job on a home-made scrapbook on a subject I was interested in.

Here... or There... Hmmm
Yeah, I agree with everyone else... It's not the amount that it looks like or that was spent but the thoughts behind it. Even if all I got was something that cost my SS $2 but they put SO MUCH thought into it I would LOVE IT!!! (I'm so easy going too so that helps)

To my SS,

I think I have one more thing that I want to send you, but now I need to see if it will fit in the box!

I've pretty much finished shopping for this year's santee and started on stuff for next year.

Now I just have to plan a few trips around the country so I can mail a bunch of small packages from different places.

I just have one more little thing I want to buy my person and then I think I'm finished with him (her?). I am having so much fun with this.
But for some reason, I have been stressing about the cat gift. What will the cat like? I've finally settled on something my cats really love. I think I'm going to order it tonight.

OOOOO, there's a clue: "the cat" ...only one cat? or is that a red herring?

Dear SS, I bought an untried cat gift today...meaning its something I've never bought for my cats before. So I bought one for yours and one for mine. It was a smashing success! Even the very discriminating Marshmallow loved it.
