Do you actually "have" to be Catholic to work there? We have a St Mary's I am going to apply at, but I am not catholic....should I just forget about it then??

I don't think you have to be Catholic. You will find alot of "sisters" that work there and there will be a church in the hospital. It should be open to anyone.

A Catholic hospital is just like any other hospital. They don't discriminate(sp?) against people because of their religion.

You shouldn't have to be. When I lived in Chicago our main hospital for the area was Catholic, but the best nurse I had was Hindu.

The Beehave State!
I don't think you have to be Catholic to work at a Catholic Hospital. I would think that could be considered discrimination yet alone not very nice! Plus, usually they get some amount of state and/or federal funding and I think the gov would frown on exclusion based on religion. I used to know a Mormon who worked for Catholic Services (Adoption and counseling).

Its illegal to refuse to hire someone, because of their religion. I was BORN in a Catholic hospital and my family are Pentecostals!
