What country is this? 10,000 points!

There is not a lot to go on here but I can tell you this is certainly one of the most filmed and known buildings in the world.

But, what country is it in?

Could it be India? It looks sort of like the Taj Majal, but I'm pretty sure it isn't.

Well, someplace tropical or subtropical b/c of the palm trees. Given the colors and architecture I am going to say someplace Caribbean.

This building looks familiar to me but I cannot place it... I am going to say Florida, which means USA.

I think that is in Monaco.

I'll go with the casino in Monaco. Been there. $5 cokes in 1971, can't imagine what they cost now.

I thought this one would take longer. Yes, it is Monaco and the building is the famed Monte Carlo. CONGRATULATIONS!! For those of you that do not know, Monaco is an independent nation of less than one square mile, surrounded by France. France would NOT have been a correct answer. Many of you will remember this was home to Grace Kelly. I was expecting one of our younger members to say "who was Grace Kelly?

Don't know about now. We went in 2006 and elected not to pay 20 Euros just to walk in. The cars are all Bentley's and above. We travelled by train, Monaco being just a few stops away from where we were staying in Nice.
