Hi everyone! I have made a few posts within the last week with questions about the two beautiful flamepoint Himalayans that my boyfriend and I get to hang out with
Replies to my questions have already led me to some valuable advice, so, I thought I'd say a formal hello!
Our kitties, Darb and Cheeseball, are 5 months old (almost exactly!) and are brothers. My boyfriend and I have had the fortunate experience of knowing them since the day after they were born: his mom was the breeder, so we were able to visit them often until they were old enough to bring home.
It was their mom's first litter and my first experience seeing kittens from that young, so it was very special.
Now they are getting quite big! Cheeseball is up to 6 pounds and Darb is at at least 7 pounds! (from what I've read, this is a little bigger than average). Still, they act like little kittens, wrestling and chasing each other, so that makes for some demolished coffee tables and such - lucky for them, they are absolutely adorable, especially when they crash after all their fun.
This is a picture of them that we took about two weeks ago, during one such "crash" incident - they are passed out on their scratching device (which, of course, is used for playing and sleeping but never scratching!). It's quite easy (for us, anyway) to tell them apart in real life because Cheeseball's points are much darker (I've started wondering if Darb is actually a creampoint), but in this picture it's tough to tell. I *think* Darb is on the left and Cheeseball on the right.
