I recorded it and just watched it. We'll have to talk after everyone has seen it....no surprise spoilers.
Was pretty decent
Nice to see they remember names of former cast members and not as just a name in passing but as a person.
When this series started, I cringed when I heard the name David Caruso.....and strangely, he (and his overacting) has grown on me. Looks like a good season....not too hard for Bruckheimer to manage though, his productions are consistant, and show links to the past. Good story telling regardless if the material isn't your cup of tea.

Dang, missed it while watching the premiere of House.
I have to say, I really like David Caruso. He appeals to me so that shows you how strange I am.

It wasn't bad..... it was different......
I didn't watch it at first because I did NOT like Horatio....but he's grown on me.

I sure hope USA shows reruns of this like a week behind or something, and I'm also kinda bummed now that I decided to watch House instead of this. Then again, I missed most of last season anyway so it might not have made much sense. I need to catch up!
It's funny, I don't like much of what's on primetime TV, but the few shows I do like all seem to be on at the same time!! (same as Monday Night Football too

This show holds a special place in my household. Caruso's one-liners are truly epic.
It did a reasonable, though not perfect, explanation as to how the CSI team was formed.
When Horatio was appointed to head the CSI team, he told Delko to go to the police academy and get his badge and then come see him (Horatio).
However, when the CSI: Miami show debuted, Delko was already a high ranked CSI.
Plus Calley was a star struck newbie when she was helping Horatio examine the car in the garage. We are to assume that she was one of the first that Horatio picked to be on his team. When CSI: Miami debuted, she too was a polished, high ranking member of the CSI team.
Natalia Boa didn't join the team until about 3 years into the series. She came into CSI: Miami as an under cover FBI agent to act as a "mole" to feed information about the lab's corruptness. She had no field experience and was essentially a lab tech. It wasn't until several episodes in that she was allowed to go into the field and the first time was with Ryan and she stepped on something and damaged evidence.
