I'm not sure how common or uncommon this may be...
But... Louie seems to be changing in fur color... Admittedly he is about 17 weeks old now, but I started to notice on his ears that it's not a strong black anymore, but instead... Kinda salt & peppery.
I'm not all that worried about it.. But it's starting to happen down his sides too. Is that common?

Just curious
kthxbye

It's common in kittens, common in old cats, and common on any area that's had some sort of wound.

My Siri so far is one of the odder ones. Shaving made a rectangle of white-pale grey fur on her belly.

As kittens grow their coat develops. They go from a coat that is mostly a soft fuzzy undercoat type to actually getting a nice sleek guard coat over it. In a lot of long hair breeds it can even take a couple years for a coat to fully develop.
