Innova and UTI

I feed my kitties innova.
Zooey had a UTI, and is on antibiotics...
Could the food have caused it?
And does giving cats a bit of tuna every now and then cause a UTI?

Also, is innova really a better quality food as far as what goes into it is concerned?

My cats seem to like it.
But is it the best for them?

It's unfortunate, but the "experts" still can't say weather or not food plays a huge roll in cats getting UTI's. Everything in print right now suggests that it's stress, or just genetic. If it's genetic, then the vet will suggest switching to a food that helps to balance the Ph.

I've used Innova on and off for over 2yrs and have never had a problem with any of mine. I agree that there are other factors besides diet that can cause a UTI.
Does the vet think Innova was a contributing factor?

Eukanuba's chicken & rice formula has a lower pH which will improve UTI. Might want to switch to them.

no the vet didn't say anyhting about food at all actually.
i was just wondering myself....

when they checked her she was at 500
she's going back for a check up day after tomorrow

i'm sure it will be lower as the antibitics seem to be working
