I haven't been feeling well the last few days. I left work at lunch Wednesday night feeling like I was coming down with the flu. I stayed home Thursday night and I was feeling a little better so I went to work Friday night. I stayed through the whole shift but I started to feel like I did Wednesday night when I left early. I also got fairly dizzy at one point. I don't think I have a fever. My head doesn't hurt. I've had a little nausea the last couple of days but nothing major. Every so often my throat feels scratchy and I have cough that can be fairly persistent at times. I do have post nasal drip and asthma, but I don't know if they are the sole cause right now. I'm taking it day by day and will see how I feel when I get up. Earlier in the night I told my supervisor I felt like I was hit by a bus. Later on I said the bus must have back up over me after it ran me over the first time. I have to admit I've been a little concerned over the man-bird-pig flu since it's been making it's way around the college campuses in town.

^For some reason I misread that as manbear pig at first. I'm blaming DH for that.

Right now if you have the flu it is H1N1, the usual flu season has not started yet. If you get to feeling any worse go to the doctor. Other than that OTC decongestants, mucinex, and acetaminophen should help with the symptoms a little.

Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Hope you feel better!!

I've had a few friends with H1N1, they got over it in two days and were back in class on the third. It definitely wasn't fun for them though
. At Georgia tech 2 weeks ago they were saying there had been 100 cases of flu. I am glad I don't live on campus.
You should take your temperature though because you don't want to be feverish and not going ot the doctor.

I hear you! I've got the crud too!

I've had it since Wednesday and believe I'm at the home stretch of it. Low fever, body aches, congestion, scratchy throat, and a horrible cough. I caught it from my BF (we both have the worst immune systems, if one of us is sick it's inevitable the other will get it). The doctor ran a flu test as well as a H1NI flu test and both came back negative. Just some nasty virus.

Don't worry yourself too much. There's a whole bunch of flu like viruses going around. I'd make a trip to the doctor just to be sure though.

Hope you feel better!!!

Thanks!

I don't know what is going on. I don't feel bad right now but I'm tired and didn't sleep well. I took some cold medicine and that helped a bit, we'll see how it goes at work tonight. I have my doubts it's the flu, but I do agree there is a lot of stuff going around right now.

I had the H1N1 flu a few months ago. It is not as bad as the media makes it out to be, particularly if you are healthy. The drs said that all I could do was take care of myself. There is nothing you can do.

The major symptoms I had were:
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Fever
Body aches
Plus the usual flu symptoms.

Yes, I felt terrible when I had it, but all I could do was sleep and that is what I did. Make sure you have plenty of fluids and rest.

A lot of people do confuse the flu with the cold. It is probably just a cold.

It could be just a cold but I don't have any congestion, just an increase in post nasal drip. I get all of the symptoms above except for the fever and vomiting. I have gotten dizzy a few times when I have felt my worst. I was feeling up and down all night at work. Usually when I get the flu it knocks me right on my butt and I lose my appetite. I haven't lost my appetite at all. I may call my doctor anyway on Monday. The weather has been changing, I wonder if that can be playing a part in my feeling cruddy.
