Wrinkled Velvet/Pics Included

Wrinkled Velvet is very friendly and purrs all the time.
I am getting a DNA test from UC Davis so we can figure her colors out for TICA.
The breeder is still waiting for the reg from TICA.
She will send it to me when she receives it.
She said they are way behind so it looks like I will not be able to show Wrinkles in CFA in Nov.
Here are some pictures of her.

So CFA doesn't allow you to enter them in a show with the registration number as "pending" for one show the way TICA does, then?

No they do not allow it.
The TICA show will be nowproblem though.
The CFA show is Nov 7th and 8th and it looks like she will not be able to go.
I can pay CFA $25 to rush the papers but I still need the TICA reg first.
CFA had to have at least a 3 gen ped from TICA when I registered Cleo.
My sisters new sphynx is CFA first and they cashed her check yesterday.

One of her main colours is seal? I'm no expert with baldies by any means!

Yes she is seal/white but the breeder said TICA gives her trouble with the colors sometimes.

Have you tried registering her as that - just to see what happens.

I can not register her yet.
The breeder is still waiting for the litter papers from TICA.
She will send them to me when she receives them.
She did tell me CFA will acept her color but she is TICA first.

How old is Wrinkled Velvet? I get my kittens registered at 9 weeks old. It seems like a long time to wait!

She is 11 weeks old.
Her breeder had another litter that is CFA and she already got the blue slip from them.

She's lovely

Do her eyes look okay now? I know you were concerned earlier on.

Thanks Everyone,
Yes they look fine.
I sure hope I can show her in CFA in November because that is the last CFA show until Jan 16th.
I will show her Nov 28th,29th in TICA.
Then Jan 8th-10th in TICA.

If she is a kitten, you can show her in CFA without a reg. number (it would be "pending"). Do you have the CFA registration?
Oooh! Congratulations on your new sphynx baby! What a beauty ! Very happy for you both!! Hope you can show her as she is stunning !
Ahem. You CAN enter her without a reg # AS A KITTEN. Just that the points wont count unless she gets registered in the same week, and then you can get the points counted thereafter for a fee.

She's pretty!
Are you showing her as a kitten in CFA? You can show a kitten in CFA without a number, just not Championship/Premiership. I've done it several times before. However, none of the awards/points are going to count. If you get the TICA registration early in the week after the CFA show, you can pay a fee (I think $25) to have the registration processing expedited and they will include the cat in the show catalog--this way the points do wind up counting in the end.

Looks like Abymummy and I are on the same page
post #24 of 31
Woah, why? There are certain things that will make me skip a show, but it's mostly all based on prior experience (cramped benching areas, no good discounts for multiple entries, judging slate that isn't good for my cats, showhall w/o Heat or AC, show booked with a pet expo. . .) And of course, if I know the situation has changed then I'll probably give the show another try.

I'm speaking in generalities here, but try to stay above the political stuff and gossip; it can and will haunt you in the future as you show your cats (or even eventually breed!) Unless someone or a club has wronged you personally, try to give them a fair chance. Avoid taking sides on issues that do not involve you directly. You just never know who might take offense, and there are many in the fancy who are quick to be insulted.

You know its hard enough putting a show any more. To boycott one really is bad - what is the reason? Shows are sometimes few and far between.
Would appreciate if you would pm me whatever boycott info as well please! Thanks!

I will do that right now.

Me too please - thanks.

Please PM me as well

Guys, I have nothing to do with this, I don't even show, but I have heard of the politics and this will be on google in like 5 minutes... I would seriously advise a mod to remove this from here, for yours and TCSs sakes and keep all of this in private... just a thought to consider....
