My username is Sammymudgirl because I am a hobby potter. I make things on the wheel and hand build. You all can call me Sammy. I don't work because of my disabilities. I have Fibromyalgia - which means I am in almost constant pain, and I have digestion and sleep issues along with other problems. I also am a very stable mixed Bipolar, - which means sometimes I get very agitated and anxious combined with depression at the same time. I am anxious all of the time. Think of overly high stress about nothing at all.
I have been married to Peter for 25 years and have 4 kids: Charity 26, David 24, Chris 22, and Justin 19. I am heading into empty nest any day now, so more pets are likely.
My first experience with a cat was in second grade when I left the house to walk to school and came across a mama kitty giving birth. I didn't know what was happening with the cat except to think that something was wrong. I got my mother and she told me to go ahead and go to school and when I got home there would be kittens. Boy I had to wrap my brain about that one!
I wanted to breed cats and dogs from that day on.
I didn't get a cat until I was in high school, because my mom HATED cats. Since she fell in love with my kitty, she is now an avid cat person. So, I grew up with dogs. I was able to get farm cats: DSH red mackeral tabbys After I got married We were irresponsible breeders and there were inbred kitties, etc. We are building or buying a house in a year to a year and a half. Then I was thinking of breeding Maine Coons and collies, but I have a lot to learn. That is why I wanted to join this site.
I have one female cat, Carly, who is two years old this month. She is a mostly black tortiouseshell (sp?). She has a hard time with me because she always senses my anxiety. She is mostly bonded to my husband.
Sorry my post goes on and on. Thanks for listening.
