Yesterday, on top of it being Monday (I hate mondays!) I was also scheduled 12:30-9:00. It was actually slow and about 1/2 way through my shift I was almost falling asleep. In the bottom of my purse I found one last no-doze so I took it....forgetting it was after 5:00pm. Believe me, it woke me up! So much so that I didn't even start feeling tired until almost 3:00am this morning...then after going to bed I still tossed and turned for another hour. DH woke me up this morning at 7:30. I don't work today until 12:30 but I have a doctor's appointment at 9:00 so sleeping in isn't an option, although a quick power nap when I come home might be.

I swear, I feel like crap right now. 10 years ago I could survive on 3 1/2 hours of sleep....I'm getting to old for this.

ha ha ha ha
(meant in the most positive way possible)

I did the same thing.....

However, my appt today is not till 4pm, so I can go back to sleep when I feel like I could.

I remember when I could get by on just a couple hours sleep..... I still can, but am NOWHERE near as functional as when I was younger.

I hope you are able to get your nap in later this morning.

I know a few other people who caffine puts them to sleep, but they are basically hyper to begin with. I always figured maybe the added caffine threw their body into shock and put them in a temporary coma.

No nap for me today...I just spent over 1/2 hour on the phone w/ MIL and it's too late to lay down. Oh well...at least I'll be good and tired when I get home at 10:00 and have to be back at work at 9:00am tomorrow. Shouldn't have any problems getting to sleep tonight!

whats a no doze??? There is absolutely no products out there that work to keep me awake. Caffeine definitely doesn't and I take naps right after I drink energy drinks....
So every time I do something like drink coffee at night, my mom or friends always look at me like i'm crazy!!

Haha, I almost did that yesterday too. I had a headache all day, and little bouts of nausea, and I wasn't sure if it was my old symptoms coming back, or just a tension headache. I very nearly took some Excedrin tension headache, until I remembered that it was late afternoon and that stuff is full of caffeine.

I don't get enough sleep as it is, so I was definitely not going to make it harder for myself! Sleep well tonight!

My dad used to drink a cup of coffee right before bedtime every night. He claimed that the only think about it that kept him awake was the act of drinking it, and that didn't always work.
