That was one heck of a sight to see last night!! I thought it was so hilariously awkward and wrong for Kanye to say that.

Kanye West is an idiot. At the start of the night he had a full bottle of Hennessey's which he was chugging all through the night - it was in every photo!

Lucky Beyonce is a classy lady.

IMO he has no class what so ever. That poor young girl left standing there. I read that Beyonce apologized to Taylor Swift.

Arg, I can't see it. Thanks for the info though - I was wondering what everyone was getting all upset about on Facebook this morning. I think we should all be used to the fact that the man is a

DH watched a clip of it last night since people were going on and on about it. I think agree with him on the fact that it was at least partially staged.
As evidence of this thread, people love drama.

I didn't think it was funny at all, just sad and pathetic.

Because she won an award and is getting even more media coverage over this little stunt? As well as sympathy..

I didn't see it myself, my mom called me to tell me
but we should all know by now that Kanye has a habit off opening his mouth and spouting off when he shouldn't, anyone remember him going off about FEMA?

I don't think it was staged, he's done this before - he likes to rant and rave when he doesn't get what he wants.

I might have thought this was staged... but it fits in with his typical behavior. Taylor Swift is one of the few artists that I would consider a great role model for young girls. Kanye West just needs to get over himself. He ruined a very special moment in that girl's life over something that had nothing to do with him. I was happy to see Beyonce at least step up and give Taylor her time in the spotlight when she won an award.

OMG, this reminds me of Hurricane Katrina when he said George Bush hates black people on a live telethon. What a loser.

He's done this before, but I think people have had it up to here
with him. I had the radio on in the car, and the DJ was saying that he was going through celebrity twitters about the incident to read on the air, but couldn't because of all the swear words...people are really, really mad!

Also, his apology wasn't really an apology either...he kept saying he was sorry to Taylor, but then would say the same garbage again. Seriously, the VMAs are voted on by the public, so what does he want?

I think this will only do good things for Taylor and Beyonce's careers, so there's no worries for them. They both came out of this smelling like roses because they both dealt with it maturely.

Kanye West needs to realize that the rest of the world doesn't revolve around his opinions and wants. He also needs to realize that these awards are really just a self-congratulatory event that the industry puts on for itself. My God, people are out of work, losing their homes, etc...does it really matter that Taylor Swift won a MTV VMA? Really?

Kanye spoke with Jay Leno last night (on Jay's premiere...what a fortunate coincidence for him
). Apparently he wasn't supposed to have an interview - just to perform...but given Sunday's event, sat down with Jay to speak.

It all seemed a little staged to me (the interview...I never thought the incidence itself was staged...I figured he was just an idiot), but regardless, it was very awkward. Kanye apologized and said he was ashamed of himself for taking another artist's moment away. Of course, Jay then brought up Kanye's mom, which resulted in a lot of awkward silence...and Kanye basically said that he's never really dealt with his mom's death because he just kept working. He said he's going to take some time off after this incidence to deal with the things he needs to deal with.

I don't feel bad for Kanye at all, but hope that he will truly deal with any problems he needs to deal with to be less of a jerk...so that we don't all have to hear about it anymore!

As for Taylor Swift, she seems to be handling it fine...but what an awkward moment on stage! A different person may have been able to use some quick wit to turn it around, but Taylor looked more shocked and bewildered!

I've never been a fan of Beyonce, but it does seem like she's been a class act with this thing.

I have to say that most of us knew he was crazy after the Katrina thing, and he is just one of those gifts that keep on giving.

I don't know if you've heard, but the President stated his opinion on Kanye (supposedly off the record, but it got out anyway).
