Not sure she'll stay named "ruby', or if she is even a she. Will have her/him DNA sexed asap.

I may poll TCS for a name once we have her in our home and sexed, but I am driving to Sarasota, FL. this Friday to pick the bird up. I'll stay over Friday night and pick Ruby up first thing Saturday morning and head back for home. That gives me and Teri Sunday to make sure she is comfortable and all set for the next 50 plus years.

We have a spacious cage for her in the kitchen, with a cage top playpen along with a wonderful wooden branch play area outside the cage. In addition she'll have a cage and playpen on our enclosed porch to enjoy the breeze and goings on in the yard.

The bengals won't have a clue what to make of her.
I don't think they'll need much encouragement to stay clear of her. That beak would take a tail off, post haste. Bengals are smart enough to know when they've met their match.

Well he picked her up yesterday and was heading home after that, so I was willing to give him a few hours to settle back home again

Sorry for the delay!

Ruby and I got back from Florida Saturday evening. Ruby didn't like the first hour of the car ride, but she soon became interested in the passing scenery and half way through the trip she was comfortable enough to play with her toys and eat some food.

Once home I had to assemble her huge cage. The cats loved that...jungle gym!
Once everything was assembled, I brought Ruby in. Some very curious bengals gathered around her cage to check things out. Ruby had been around cats already, so she wasn't bothered by them.

By now the newness has worn off and the cats barely give her a glance.

I'll post some pics of her after work today.

How is Ruby doing? You just have the most fascinating collection of animals between the bengals, Firecracker, and Ruby!
