Hi Guys:

Just a request for a few of those TCS feel-better vibes. It would seem that after 3 years of not having a cold I decide to get one now.
I have a very busy week coming up, and do not have time for being ill..
I am hoping lots of juice, rest, and cold medicine today will help me turn the corner
..
It never fails does it..

Nyquil! Always does the trick for me.

Lots of that you don't get too sick, it never happens when its convenient, that's for sure!

NyQuil, according to Lewis Black, the best drug ever invented by man.

Yes I just took a shot of it about 15 minutes ago and I am starting to feel the affects already. Think I will have another glass of juice and some crackers for lunch then take a nap...

I usually take that Alka Seltzer Cold stuff which seems to work well too!!

I hope you are feeling better soon. One of my co-workers had a cold and passed it on to another already so hopefully I won't get it (fingers crossed).

Hoping you wake up tomorrow feeling better!

I miss nyquil - we don't have that in NZ. That was always good for a cold and for insomnia.

Like you, I have a cold and would love some Nyquil! Get better soon!

Thanks guys, I had a bit of a sleep before the brat pack woke me up wanting dinner. I swear it's someimes like having a couple of toddlers in the house. I don't think my muscles aren't as achy but I do have a wicked sore throat, and am developing a nasty cough. What's that old sayiing treat a cold and it's gone in 7 days, ride it out and it's gone in a week.
Six more days of this yippee

That, or a shot of whiskey. (My Dad's fave medicine before NyQuil was invented. Even my Baptist preacher grandfather appreciated its "curative" powers.
)

Maybe that's why NyQuil works so well it's base is alcohol....
As for a shot of whiskey, oh my god, I rarely drink so I would say most likely the whiskey would come back up as quickly as it went down.

But I will keep it in mind

I hate to say this out loud, but the saying I'm familiar with about cold is they are three days coming, three days with you, and three days going. It always seems to be true over here - I hope this is a case of mild flu, not a cold, and it'll be gone in a jiffy!

...and I've always thought of having the cats as having perpetual toddlers.

Sending lots and lots of 'feel better' . Dayquil's also pretty good if you desperately need to drag yourself through a work day.

Again thanks everyone for the well wishes..I am about the same today, wicked sore throat, and very congested. However it doesn't seem to be getting any worse so I can live with it. Think I will lay off the NyQuil though don't know if that what caused it or not but I had some really weird dreams last night and when I woke up this morning I felt like I had ran a marathon.
Think I'll just stick to my Tylenol and Orange Juice.
