I was looking for some more options for Bugsy's and Hope's diet, and came across ZiwisPeak - it actually looks great, besides the fact that they love it!
It is balanced nutrition to the proportions with the prey in the wild, at least as close as it can get, in a commercially ready food, for what I see...
It is so nutrients packed that you only feed 3 oz for a 9lbs cat; so even though a 6.5 oz can is over $2.00, it lasts 2 days for the average cat.

here are the ingredients - anybody has experiences with this food?

Venison Formula:
Venison - meat (min 40%), Liver, Tripe, Kidney and Heart (min 19%), Green-lipped and blue mussel (min 4%), Carrageenan, Guar, Flax Seed Oil (min .5%), Vitamins and Minerals Guaranteed Analysis %:Moisture (max) 81 Crude Protein (min) 8.5 Crude Fat (min) 7 Ash (max) 3.3 Crude Fiber (max) 1 Calcium 0.54 Phosphorous 0.39

Lamb:
Ingredients:
Lamb - Meat (min 40%); Liver, Tripe, Heart and Kidney (min 19%); Green-lipped and Blue Mussel (min 4%); Guar; Carrageenan; Flaxseed Oil (min 0.5%); Vitamins and Minerals Guaranteed Analysis %:Moisture (max) 78 Crude Fat (min) 10 Crude Protein(min) 8.5 Ash (max) 2.5 Crude Fiber (max) 1 Calcium 0.36 Phosphorous 0.29

Venison and Fish:
Ingredients:
Venison & Fish Recipe: Venison - meat (min 26%), Liver, Tripe, Kidney and Heart (min 19%), Hoki Fish (min 14%), Green-lipped and blue mussel (min 4%), Carrageenan, Guar, Flax Seed Oil (min .5%), Vitamins and Minerals Guaranteed Analysis %:Moisture (max) 83 Crude Protein (min) 8.5 Crude fat (min) 5 Ash (max) 2.5 Crude fiber (max) 1 Phosphorous 0.3

I only have what others have said as only the treats are avail here... they are good too ... most cat like it

The shellfish is a ??able to me but if there is NO inflammatory issues then the lamb and venison = good in my book

UTI cats I would be wary of so much fish

I just read the comment about not using too much fish for cats that get UTIs and agree. My cat Rusty was having a lot of UTIs and I scheduled a telephone consultation with a pet nutritionist from AskAriel Your Pet Nutritionist. Susan Davis, the nutritionist told me not to use foods that have fish or chicken. I put Rusty on Natures Variety Instinct rabbit, along with the Pet UTI and Probiotic products on www.askariel.com and he has not had another UTI. I just took him to the vet and he got a good report.

I use Ziwi Peak canned venison or lamb (along with several other brands). My experience has been that Jamie loves about a can a week for roughly six weeks, but then refuses to eat it for up to six months.

My update: Since I posted on the 13th I have been feeding it exclusively to little Hope, and she loves it - I am super happy with it, great quality (IMO), she loves it, and not too pricey... I mean... yes, about $1.12/day, but totally worth it IMO. I was paying more than that on Natural Balance, the only good quality food she was eating consistently... Bugsy likes it from time to time, but he prefers his Tiki Cat.

Ziwipeak is my kitty's favorite. Sometimes I'm lucky and can find coupons for it too. You might want to try Scooble.com.
