Has anyone gone to PetSmart to use their groomer services? If so would you reccommend them? Hercules is going to get fixed at the end of the month and granted he does get bathed and stuff theres only so much grooming I can do to him myself before he gets snooty and runs away and hides. Id like to get him groomed being long haired he does get tangles and snags in his fur and he wont let me brush him very well so I ususally end up cutting out the small snags I find. He isnt a cat who freaks out and spits bites scratches when getting bathed but when hes had enough he gives you the hairy eyeball and just stalks off to hide where youll never find him. I was looking yesterday at the cost of their services and it doesnt seem expensive compared to the private groomers Ive checked out and the ones I have checked Ive asked friends and family about and they have their own issues with most of them about cutting hair wrong and other stuff. So Im not going that route. But noone has used PetSmart...Soooooooo I figured Id ask you folks about it if anyone has used them before and if you think their staff is qualified and did a good job would you go back there again?

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

Is it possible your vet could groom or even shave him while he's under for his surgery? My vet offers that service and I've had it done while Bickford had his teeth cleaned.

Im going to a low cost travel clinic (SNAP of PA) I highly doubt they will do a groomer service. Ill just have to call around to diff animal places and check about groomer services. I really dont want to get Hercules shaved because of how cold it gets around here and not knowing how long it will talk for him to grow his hair back but I def want to get him thoroughly groomed and brushed out.

I know your frustration - my boys are Maine Coon mixes and they hate to be combed.

Hercules will tolerate being bathed but not without voicing his opinion about it very very loudly to the point where at one time BF came in from the garage because he heard him yowling!! It was funny because Hercules is just sitting in the tub soaking wet yowling at the top of his lungs....But after I get him out and try and dry him off he is having none of it I cant brush him nothing at all he stalks off into his unknown hiding spot and wont come out till he is dry!!!! Hence the need for a groomer!!
