I actually joined this forum several years ago, but only posted a few times so I will reintroduce myself. I have two wonderful kitties, Fritos is my admittedly favorite, he's a 4 year old declawed, neutered male, and has to be the most awesome cat ever......lol. (yes, I know we all think that don't we.....lol)He's gray tabby and white and has a unique curled tail, it looks like a stub of a tail but if you feel it, it is actually curled like a hose. He is just soo friendly, has all the good qualities of a dog without the bad body odor, drooling and need to be walked. He greets guests at the door instead of running and hiding, follows us around the house, and even plays fetch when he is inclined. He is such a lover too, the kids or I can pretty much do anything to him and he just lies there like a ragdoll, not that we ever do anything mean but he is just so sweet, the only time I've ever heard him growl or hiss is the few times his curly tail got stuck, but who could blame the poor guy there. I've owned cats all my life and have become convinced that males seem to be more people friendly than females, but by far Fritos just seems to be the one whose stolen my heart more than any other and he seems to love me just as much as anytime I'm sitting down he's curled up in my lap purring away.

We also recently lost my other baby Cheetohs, which was very sad I miss him so much. Being a two cat household for so long it didn't take long to find a new cat buddy for Fritos and we go Coconut, he is a 10 month old declawed and neutered male, white with flame tips and beautiful blue eyes, whom we just got a little over a month ago. He is also very friendly and loving, but unlike Fritos he only enjoys being cuddled for limited periods. Anyhow the two cats get along great for the most part, the only growling between the two when we brought him home came from Coconut, Fritos never growled or hissed once at him, was more curious than anything. In a matter of a few days they were wrestling and then sleeping curled up with each other. I love that Fritos now has someone as frisky as himself to play with and chase around, Cheetohs never really appreciated Fritos suprise attacks the way Coconut does......lol. The only thing that I feel bad for Fritos is that Coconut quickly took over the role as dominant cat and while Fritos and Cheetohs would eat their canned catfood out of the same dish, Coconut will growl at Fritos if he gets to close while they are eating so I have to make sure their dishes are several feet apart and then have to police the situation because if Coconut finishes first he'll come over and shove Fritos out of the way and eat his breakfast too! Poor Fritos is just to kind to say anything about it and simply gives Coconut a look like "What's your big problem" and walks away.

Okay you can obviously tell my favortism towards Fritos there, but I love them both and they are both spoiled rotten....lol. I have 5 children ages 12, 10 and 8 year old triplets, all who love cats just as much as I do. Dh is one of those men who claim to not like cats, yet he plays with them and talks to them like babies.....lol. I think his claim is mostly based on the fact that I do not want no more dogs in the house and he is always saying he wants one. We've tried having dogs, but everytime we end up giving them away because of too many problems, usually related to pottying in the house, something I can't stand, people say be patient they'll get trained eventually.........well no thanks I like my cats who require one quick showing of the litter box and baam they are housetrained........who says cats aren't smarter than dogs? I don't dislike dogs, they are cute and fun to visit with at other peoples homes, I just don't like owning them. If it weren't for hubby placing limits I would probably have more than 2 cats.....lol. One of my daughters told me when she grows up she's going to have 30 cats........lol, that's a little much, but 3 or 4 would be fun. Anyhow sorry for such a loong intro, but I'm excited to be able to meet other people who are just as cat crazy as I am.

Hello & welcome back to tcs. I don't spend as much time on here as I should. Got a new puppy last year so spend a good bit of time on dog forums.

Hi and Welcome! I'm new here myself but everyone seems really friendly and helpful. You sound like you've got a very busy household! It's great that your kids share your love for animals. I'm sorry about Cheeto. I recently lost one of my babies and know how hard it is.

Welcome back! I'm sorry bout Cheetos too. I agree about male cats-they do seem to be friendlier than females( I have both-and have had both in the past) I'd have lots too if I could. My husband is (was)? a self-proclaimed cat-hater, but he does the baby talk, pick em up & cuddle-the whole bit-WE KNOW THOUGH!
