I have a 12 year old male that seems to have dry skin. Im guessing it was the last time we took him to the vet for grooming. Since then he has always seems to do this licking the air thing when we pet him near where the tale and butt meet. I really didnt think anything of it until now. He now has ripped out a patch of fur on his back and looks to be something like a scar there. He seems to lick it alot like he is trying to keep it moist. He's always been an indoor cat and always has been very healthy. I refuse to take him back to that same vet and there arent many in the area. What can I do to help his dry skin? I was told use baby oil but something just doesnt seem right about that. I really hate seeing him like this. He's my bud and I cry everytime i see it.

and one more thing..
<--- what in the world is that???? LOL

Senior what?

As for his food, its the local $1 brand. I tried him on Science Diet, and alot of others and he wont eat them. Last time He tipped the bowl and walked away. He only likes the stuff at Dollar General. I feed him the moist food occassionally because he will eat it so fast he yarps it back up.
