But I'm considering entering Belle and Delilah in my bed instead:

I have a question that I'm hoping someone can answer for me


I'm wondering which is more important, a picture that fits better with the theme of not disturbing a cat in bed, like a picture of a cat looking feisty in bed, or a higher quality and/or resolution photo which is slightly off-theme. By slightly, I mean like a photo of a cat which is peacefully sleeping, or going to sleep, but not necessarily looking like you'd better not disturb it.

For example:

Monticello with one-eyed 'better not' stare:



-or-

Bootsie yawning in her sunbed:



As you can tell the picture of Monty was taken with my camera phone (but still meets resolution requirements...), while the one of Bootsie with my SLR (gotta grab the best at hand before the moment's gone!).

So... what is most desirable?

furbum, I'd go with the second one. It's always a toss up between quality and appropriatness, but I'd go with a clearer, better picture that it somewhat appropriate over a low quality picture that would be perfect if it were just a better picture - because the winning pictures are printed. Besides, I think the second picture is great!

Thanks to those who responded to me. Looks like I'll still with Baby Lala in her hammock (probably the one and only time it was slept in).

I totally didn't realize that this contest was for a real paper calendar! I guess it will even be made available for purchase!?

In that case I think I'll stick with the high res picture of Bootsie as it looks more like a potential calendar photo. Oh how exciting! Random people online could be having a calendar of our cats! That's something to write home about

If your kitty gets 1st place, you get a free calender
otherwise yup, you can buy it
