A year ago I was dealing with my mom in the hospital because she had a small stroke and also my sick cat, Ryan. I was stretched really thin after dealing with my mom and then having to come home and deal with Ryan. I didn't get a chance to grieve over Ryan's illness and death because it all happen while my mom was sick. I am grieving over Ryan now. I miss him so much.

I understand how you feel. I hope you can grieve properly for Ryan now, so the pain can begin to heal a little. you will always miss him, but the fresh hurt will begin to fade with time, as you allow yourself to grieve for him.

Have you visited our "Crossing the Bridge" section of the forum and listed Ryan there? Also, a very comforting web site is www.petloss.com.

Of course you do. He was a big part of your life, and grieving for him is natural. The pain lessens in time, but knowing that doesn't make it any easier right now.
