I got about 16 pheasant from my father in law, but they have been in the freezer since 2000. Is still okay to feed to the cats?

Thanks
Leslie

I would not even consider giving 9 yr old freezer pheasant to any animal let alone my cats. I'd be putting it in the trash at the next garbage pick up.

Absolutely not..........If it wasn't good enough for you to eat the first few months, why would you keep it for 9 years? 9 years?! I wouldn't feed Maia a can of cat food that was 9 years old..................
Throw it out!

I think most meats should be used in 6-12 months, there are websites that tell you how long things can be frozen for.
